Concord, NC is a city located in Cabarrus County with just under 100,000 people living in the city. Concord was founded in 1796 and is home to some of the top tourist destinations in North Carolina including the NASCAR Charlotte Motor Speedway and Concord Mills.

The name Concord actually means “harmony” and this town lives up to its name. You get the small-town southern feel with a variety of downtown events to get to know people living in your community. Located 20 miles outside of Charlotte you have easy access to the city life and come back to feel right at home in Concord.

What better way to unwind than being outdoors with friends and family! Frank Liske Park is a 238-acre park that offers softball fields, soccer fields, volleyball courts, trails, paddle boards, picnic shelters, and a refurbished barn and silo. It’s the perfect spot for leisure sports, family events, and hiking. 

Take a trip under the sea at the Sea Life Charlotte-Concord Aquarium. Sharks, turtles, jellyfish, and stingrays are just a few exhibits to see. You can feel good about this visit because Sea Life rescues sick and injured sea creatures and aims to protect the world’s oceans.

Starting as a hobby and a dream turning into a reality, Cougar Run Winery is one of North Carolina’s finest wineries. Not only do they serve everything from red wines to dessert wines, they also serve ciders. Not to mention they have a special wine ice cream, which is a must-have!


There are so many restaurant choices to pick from in Concord. Get the freshest food including coffee, omelets, sandwiches, and salads at Carm’s Cafe. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you have plenty of opportunities to taste what everyone raves about. 

Feel nostalgic with a retro 1950’s atmosphere at Punchy’s Diner. Breakfast and brunch is more fun when you feel like you stepped back in time.
